Car wash

Car Wash was made after a chance happening at a petrol station, where I filmed a stranger having his car washed. Cars provide us with a private space where we can feel comfortable and familiar. The focus of the film is the man behind the windscreen, who goes in and out of visibility as layers of water and light act as a partial veil between the viewer and the subject. A sound track was mixed to the visuals using a combination of a simple musical score and collected sounds.
